What IVGID runs

  • Water and sewer for the town.
  • The trash deal. See trash and recycling. The board approved a new 10 year contract on Aug 12, 2026.
  • Incline Beach, Burnt Cedar Beach and Ski Beach. See the beach guide.
  • The recreation center, the tennis center, 2 golf courses and Diamond Peak.

The passes

The fee is per parcel, not per person. Each parcel gets 5 cards a year. The owner picks how many are picture passes and how many are punch cards. A picture pass opens the beaches. It also gives local rates at the rec center, golf and Diamond Peak. A punch card works for a guest. An owner can pass the privileges to a tenant.

Who decides

Five trustees, elected townwide, set the fee, the budget and the rules. They meet once or twice a month at 893 Southwood Blvd. Next up: Oct 14, then November (the meeting portal lists Nov 10, the meetings page Nov 11, so check the portal), and Dec 9. The board is Chair Michaela Tonking, Vice Chair Michelle Jezycki, Treasurer Mick Homan, Secretary Dave Noble and Trustee Raymond Tulloch. Two seats are on the Nov 3 ballot. See IVGID meetings for votes from the meetings we wrote up.

Visitors

Hotel and rental guests get no picture pass unless the owner gives one. Sand Harbor and the walk-in beaches are open to everyone.
